Sam earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Centre College and obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching - Alternative Certification from the University of Louisville. Before working at Coursello, Sam was a National Board Certified Teacher in a Title 1 Public High School where she taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Dual Credit Algebra. She regularly volunteers with Teach Kentucky, a nonprofit organization helping bring new college graduates into teaching, as a New Teacher Coach by supporting new teachers in their transition. In her free time, Sam loves to run, spend time with her partner traveling and exploring local food scenes, and foster dogs through MisPits and Friends.
