Salma holds a doctorate degree in Education with a focus on Instruction and Learning from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. She is an expert language educator, teacher trainer, curriculum developer and researcher. At this point of her career, she has taught, supervised, and trained students and teachers from almost all continents. She is the co-founder of Universal Narratives, a consulting and podcasting company that aims to connect global educators and amplify the voices of professionals worldwide. She is also the author of a children's book titled Maryam the New Yorker highlighting the experiences of bilingual and multiracial kids growing up in the Big Apple.She currently lives with her husband and two daughters in the World’s Borough, Queens in New York City. Outside work, she enjoys going on family hikes and road trips, traveling, volunteering in her community, and exploring ethnic foods and cultures.
