Mary has worked in education for nearly 25 years. She’s served as a high school teacher, curriculum designer, site-level administrator, and district-level administrator in California and Washington, DC. Mary was the Supervisor of College and Career Readiness for San Francisco Unified School District. She received her B.A. from American University and holds graduate degrees from Brown University, St. John’s College, Santa Fe, and San Jose State University. In her free time, Mary leads courses where adult learners connect about literature and film and grapple with life’s enduring questions.
