Lexie has a BA in Mathematics with a Secondary Education Minor from a small liberal arts college in Maryland. She spent time teaching high school math in public schools in MD, WA, VA, and CA. Lexie has been teaching since 2007, and has taught almost every high school math course. Lexie enjoyed the opportunity to mentor three student teachers and also worked to earn her National Board Teachers Certificate. She has participated in and led numerous Professional Learning Communities, and is lucky to have experience working with diverse groups of students. She also has experience teaching and tutoring online since summer of 2019. Lexie is always excited about math and mathematical thinking, and has her 6 year old daughter counting, adding, subtracting, and using logic. When Lexie isn't focused on math education, she enjoys books, gardening, travel, learning new hobbies, and puzzles.
