Emily received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Malone University in North Canton, Ohio. Two years later, she received her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University. Emily spent two years teaching grades 9-12 at Ashland High School and another seven years in Southeastern Ohio at Vinton County High School. She also enjoyed teaching as an adjunct instructor at her alma mater, Malone University, as well as at Stark State College for 5 years. Emily has enjoyed reading and writing for as long as she can remember, and she works to instill that same passion into her students as well. Emily and her husband, Brian, have four sons who are active in sports and love to be outdoors. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and watching the newest popular releases on Netflix.
